Bainbridge Bikefest 2014 is underway at the Bikefest Grounds on Pondtown Road in Decatur County, with four days of music and motorcycling activities planned.
Many bikers are expected to arrive in Bainbridge to attend the annual music and motorcycling festival, which raises money for local and regional charities.
Karaoke on the Bikefest main stage begins Wednesday’s opening day.
Thursday night will feature the bands Speshees and ELI. (You can hear some of ELI’s songs, including “She Wants to Learn How to Fly” on Live 101.9 FM.)
Local band Sowega Train Wreck kicks off Friday’s concert, followed by returning Bikefest performers Big Engine and headliner Jackyl.
Saturday’s concert will feature the music of the Tobacco Road Band, Exile and Natalie Stoval and the Drive.
Bikefest will officially wrap up Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. with a church service led by volunteers from the Christian Motorcyclists Association.
Other Bikefest events include a Veterans’ Appreciation Ceremony to be held in Willis Park in downtown Bainbridge on Saturday morning 10:30 a.m.; a motorcycle show on the downtown square on Saturday morning, with judging taking place at noon; and a Poker Run to raise additional money for charity that departs out of Willis Park at 11:30 a.m. and ends up at the Charter House Inn in Bainbridge at 3:30 p.m.
