Yates Concrete, on Georgia Highway 253 North in Bainbridge, is installing an upgraded concrete plant.
Decatur County Sheriff’s deputies escorted a long semi-trailer truck carrying the new concrete plant from the Commodore-Decatur Industrial Park, to its new home at Yates Concrete. Workers had previously dug the foundations for the new plant and an associated office, and installed the base on which the new concrete plant will sit.
Crane trucks were used to lift the concrete plant off the back of the truck and set it onto its base.
The concrete plant seen standing upright in the pictures below is the old concrete plant at Yates Concrete. The new plant was still being installed on Tuesday afternoon.
