Some of our readers requested we obtain and publish Decatur County’s proposed 2014-2015 budget. When we inquired about it, county officials said the proposed budget is only available for in-person inspection at the County Administration Building, 203 W. Broughton Street.
County commissioners will hold at least two public hearings on the proposed budget and will likely hold another budget workshop meeting before voting on a final budget.
In the meantime, we asked for and received an electronic copy of Decatur County’s approved FY 2013-2014 budget. It is available for download as a 6.12 MB PDF file, compressed from a 27 MB original file that was sent to us.
We will publish a copy of the proposed budget as soon as it becomes available.
County commissioners will hold a public hearing on the proposed FY 2014-2015 budget on Tuesday, June 16 at noon in the meeting room of the County Administration Building, 203 W. Broughton Street in Bainbridge. The fiscal year runs from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015.
