Bainbridge State College is pleased to announce its 2017 Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) graduates earned a 100 percent passing rate on the NCLEX-RN licensure exam.

(Note: The NCLEX-RN is the licensing exam that graduates must pass prior to gaining a license to practice as a registered nurse.)

All fifteen of the May 2017 graduates passed the licensure exam on their first attempt. Bainbridge State College holds a three-year average pass rate of 96% percent—and according to Jeffrey Ross, Chair and Associate Professor of Nursing at BSC, this percentage far exceeds both the state and national averages.

“This achievement would not be possible without the ADN program’s dedicated faculty and staff, cooperation from our local hospitals and health care facilities who provide our students’ with quality, real-life clinical experiences and the determination and dedication of our students,” said Ross.

Dr. Stuart Rayfield, Interim President of Bainbridge State College, added, “We are so proud of our ADN program and its many successes. Much of the ADN program’s success is due to Mr. Ross and his team’s dedication to nursing education, our students and our college.”

As the consolidation with Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) and Bainbridge State College draws nearer, the ADN program faculty and staff look forward to the new opportunities that will become available to students.

“The faculty and I are excited about the opportunity the consolidation with ABAC will afford our students and our nursing program,” commented Ross. “We have already begun this very arduous process and are collaborating with the ABAC nursing faculty in creating what we hope will be one of the best and largest nursing programs in the state.”

The Bainbridge State College is fully accredited by the Georgia Board of Nursing and the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).

  1. Congrats to all the new RNs. I remember waiting 6 months for snail mail results. The 100% pass statistic is quite a tribute to the Nursing Faculty at this college.
