A Sunday afternoon ATV accident in Decatur County sent one person to the hospital.
According to the Georgia State Patrol report, the driver, John Presilla, was traveling in a Can AM 1000 ATV on Rock Pond Road when he lost control while navigating a curve in the dirt road. The report states that the vehicle “traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree with the front”. The driver was ejected from the ATV upon impact and transported to Tallahassee Memorial via Life Flight Helicopter.
According to Major Wendell Cofer with the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office, Presilla is a deputy with the Sheriff’s Office and was off duty at the time. Presilla was treated and released from the hospital.
