On Monday, December 19, the Georgia State Patrol Post 14 in Colquitt made a huge donation for their annual Toys for Tots Campaign.

According to Corporal Earl Prince, the Colquitt Post collected and donated more than 2200 toys to be distributed to children in Decatur, Seminole, Miller, Early and Calhoun Counties.

This is the eighth year Georgia State Troopers and officers with Capitol Police and the Motor Carrier Compliance Division have joined the United States Marine Corps Reserve to collect toys for needy children during the holiday season. Last year,  DPS collected approximately 42,587 toys and $89,979 in monetary donations for Toys for Tots or similar charities… All donations will stay in the county in which the donation was received, allowing donations to benefit children in the local community.
