Bainbridge Public Safety Offering Free Smoke Detectors

PRESS RELEASE

Friday morning, Bainbridge Public Safety Officers were out placing door hangers in the community for the “Home Fire Campaign.” BPS will be teaming up with the American Red Cross on Saturday, November 19th between 8 and Noon to install smoke alarms (while supplies last.) Residents of the City of Bainbridge can get a free smoke alarm for their home by calling (229) 248-2038 Ext 313.

• You have as little as two minutes to safely escape a burning home!
• On average, seven people die every day in the United States from a home fire!
• A working smoke alarm can cut the risk of death from a home fire in half!
