Bainbridge Athlete Ryan Adams Wins Prestigious Award

Bainbridge High School athlete Ryan Adams was awarded the prestigious Positive Athlete award in Atlanta on Tuesday.  Ryan, a rising senior at Bainbridge High School was nominated by his coach, Chad Smith, and selected as one of 30 winners across the state.

On Tuesday, June 7, Ryan traveled to Atlanta to the College Football Hall of Fame and was presented the award by former Pittsburgh Steeler, Georgia Bulldog and Superbowl MVP Hines Ward.

As a Positive Athlete Nominee, athletes are eligible to be named the “Most Positive Athlete” in their sport at both the regional and state-wide levels.  Bainbridge is in the southwest region.  The winners are chosen based on seven criteria: Optimistic, Encouraging, Servant Leader, Heart for Others, Admits Imperfections, Always Gives 100% and Puts Team First.  Ryan won the football award for the Southwest Region, and then won the football award for the entire state.

With more than 3400 nominees, the competition is certainly fierce.  Congratulations to Ryan Adams on this incredible accomplishment.
