Bainbridge boys hoops win 5th straight game

With two wins this weekend, the Bainbridge High School Bearcats  basketball team is now 4-0 in region play and have won their last 5 games.

The Bearcats had two region games on the road this past weekend. On Friday night, the BHS boys were in Albany playing Albany High.  The game was close until the fourth quarter, the Bearcats were up and the Albany Indians started fouling and sending Bearcat players to the line where we drained the free throws.  Scoring in double figures for the Bearcats were Myles Thomas 16, Tyree Crump with 16  and Trevon Shaw with 11 points.

On Saturday, the Bearcats traveled to Adel, Ga., to play the Cook County Hornets. The Bearcats dominated the whole game and all players played and contributed to this big win, with Bainbridge defeating Cook County 70-30. In double figures for the Bearcats were Tyree Crump with 17, Myles Thomas with 11 and Maleke Lurry with 10.

The Bearcats will be in action Friday, Jan 22., when they host the Doughtery High Trojans of Albany. Games begin at 4 p.m. at the new BHS gym with the boys JV, varsity girls at 6 p.m. and varsity boys at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, the Bainbridge High basketball teams will travel to Albany to play Monroe High School.
