Bainbridge clubs aiming to make Christmas brighter for children

Two of our local motorcycle organizations are stepping up to help our area children have a brighter Christmas.

The Honor Sentinel RC has placed toy collection boxes at several Bainbridge businesses. Please drop off new, unwrapped toys to one of these locations:

  • Farmer’s Furniture on Shotwell Street
  • Logue Brothers Furniture on Calhoun Street
  • Fred’s on Shotwell Street
  • Dollar General on Dothan Road
  • Western Finance on Shotwell Street

Toy Run-1The collection boxes will be taken up Friday December 11th.

Currently there are toy and food drives going on all over the country, with communities joining together to help those in need. It is a great thing to help others. A valuable lesson can also be learned from participating in these drives.  Do it as a family event; involve the children, parents and grandparents. Make helping others a holiday tradition.

The Remaining Few MC is hosting a Toy Run on December 12th. The Toy run will start in Thomasville, Ga., on Myrick Road at noon and travel to the Howard Johnson in Bainbridge on U.S. 27 South.  At 2 p.m., the toy run will continue on and end at the Remaining Few clubhouse on U.S. 84 West. For the Toy Run, participants are ask to bring at least one new unwrapped toy or five cans of non-perishable food.

All of the collected toys and canned goods will be donated to the Bainbridge Salvation Army.
