THOMASVILLE, Ga. — Tonya Hayes hugged her sons just a little tighter Thursday; following the death of her neighbor’s 19-month-old son, Dallas Beltran. He died in what authorities are calling a “tragic accident.”

“It’s heartbreaking, it’s a tragedy. You start thinking if it had been yours,” Hayes said.
