Citizens are invited to attend two ribbon cuttings being held at newly occupied or renovated government office buildings on Thursday, September 11.

The Georgia Department of Driver Services office in Bainbridge, located at the intersection of Dothan Road and Airport Road, will hold a ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. Thursday.

Decatur County’s new privatized ambulance service, now known as Decatur EMS, will hold an open house at their recently renovated headquarters on Airport Road in Bainbridge at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. The public is invited to come tour the EMS headquarters and get an up-close look at the newly refurbished ambulances that are in operation at Decatur EMS.

Decatur EMS is being run privately under a five-year contract between Decatur County Commissioners and the not-for-profit Grady EMS of Atlanta. The private service began operation on Sept. 1, 2014.
